Who We Are

We are a Wales-based charity working to prevent sudden cardiac death through early detection, access to life-saving equipment and practical training.

Our work supports individuals, families, schools, communities and organisations across the UK.

What We Do

We make it easier for people and communities to take action to protect heart health and respond in an emergency.

Heart Screening

We deliver heart screening across the country to help identify undiagnosed conditions that may not show symptoms. Screening provides individuals with information about their heart health and, where appropriate, signposts them for further medical advice.

Defibrillators

We support communities, organisations and workplaces to access defibrillators and keep them ready for use. This includes guidance on obtaining a device, where to place it and how to maintain it.

CPR And First Aid Training

We provide CPR and first aid training to help people recognise cardiac arrest and respond quickly and confidently in an emergency.

Why This Work Matters

Many heart conditions show no symptoms until a serious event occurs. We work to prevent avoidable deaths by making screening, defibrillators and lifesaving training more accessible.

Our Vision

Every week in the UK, 12 seemingly fit and healthy young people die from undiagnosed heart conditions which could have been detected through a simple screening. Our vision is to create a future where nobody in the UK dies prematurely from an undiagnosed heart condition. We can only achieve this with your support.

Our Mission

  • Free heart screenings for 15½-26 year olds
  • Part-funded heart screenings for 26 years and over
  • Provide public access defibrillators
  • To provide free defibrillator and CPR training for the public
  • To ensure that monies raised are utilised and distributed across the country for our heart related projects

Why We Exist

We were founded following personal experience of heart disease and loss within a family.

That experience continues to shape everything we do, with a clear focus on early detection, prevention and giving people the tools and confidence to save lives.
